Ask the expert: Spanish Car Hire Fuel Policies…
When it comes to renting a car in Spain one of the most common concerns for a customer is the charges that may or may not apply for fuel.
We’ve asked Director of Sixt Spain Johannes Boeinghoff to tell us about the different fuel policies and what you will be offered when renting from Sixt in Spain.
Johannes says…
There are three common fuel models that are used in Spain:
1.) The car is supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned by the customer with a full tank of fuel.
2.) The car is supplied with a full tank of fuel which should be paid for upon collection of the vehicle at regual gas station prices, the car should be returned as empty as possible.
3.) The car is supplied with a variable volume of fuel and must be returned with the same volume of fuel.
Sixt offer option’s 1 and 2 to all customers renting from one of our major Spanish locations including Malaga Airport, Alicante Airport, Barcelona Airport, Seville Airport, Madrid Airport and Palma (Majorca) Airport.
