interesting concept, not sure that it will replace the conventional watch though!

Good idea, but will they change the chime to “tweet”…

This reminds me of the recent LCROSS probe that NASA crashed into the moon last month. It also had its own twitter feed http://twitter.com/LCROSS_NASA
It provided constant updates in the final hours as it closed in on it’s eventual target and destination. Until right near the point of impact where the feed took a little turn towards the Douglas Adams (creator of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy).
Echoing a point in the book where a whale contemplates its final demise as it heads towards a planet…
The LCROSS provided the following updates.
“And what’s this thing coming toward me very fast? So big and flat and round,
4:34 AM Oct 9th
it needs a big wide sounding name like ‘Ow’, ‘Ownge’, ‘Round’, ‘Ground’!”
4:34 AM Oct 9th
“That’s it! Ground! Ha! I wonder if it’ll be friends with me?”
4:34 AM Oct 9th
Since the impact, NASA have been busy with measuring the results of the experiment to discover how much water is contained on the moon. Last Friday they confirmed that in the particular crater the LCROSS probe crashed into water had been discovered within the debris ejected from the impact.
