Cows drive man into river

Mad Cow!

Mad Cow!

A man was forced to take refuge in the River Thames after being harrassed by a herd of cows. The man was walking his dog along a tow path in Radcot, Oxfordshire when the cows began to chase him. He decided that the safest option was to enter the river and stay there until the cows moved on.

However the cows did not move and he was forced to call the police. After almost one hour in the river the man was helped to saftey by a police officer with previous experience in cow-herding. The man eventually managed to frighten the cows off by waving his arms around as he walked out of the water. He was met by police who had a helicopter on standby ready to rescue him.

A young 6 month old sheep can breathe a sigh of relief safe in the knowledge that it won’t be turned into lamb chops after being sold at an auction in Lawrie for a staggering £231,000.

The ram was bought by Fraserburgh farmer Jimmy Douglas for the record breaking price tag, which experts claim will be an excellent investment. John Yates, chief executive of the Texel Sheep Society, said the ram is likely to father pedigree lambs worth millions of pounds for the new owner.
