Here is a Volkswagen advert showing the benefits of adding fun to your brand. By applying something fun to what are viewed as normally mundane boring tasks they managed to engage people and increase the number of people recycling or even get people to choose stairs over using an escalator.

This is the video of how people using the underground in Sweden switched from using the escalator to using the stairs.
