Sixt Go The Extra Mile for Their Customers
The majority of the UK can appreciate the plight of German town Halle, one of the wettest towns in Europe. But our colleagues over at Sixt.de came up with a unique solution to the problem. Ace german pilot Lieutenant Colonel Sandro Wolf collaborated with Sixt to strike back at the weather and give the townspeople a rare opportunity to appreciate the sun and take advantage of the pleasant weather by hiring one of Sixt’s range of convertibles.
By using missiles loaded with Silver Iodide, the pilot hit potential rain clouds before they hit the town in a process know as “cloud seeding“. The Silver Iodide reacts with the water in the clouds causing them to release the rain held within early before it reached Halle. The Chinese employed similar tactics during the Beijing Olypmics to ensure that the weather made virtually no impact on the games.
Here is a short film dedicated to the brave work of Lt. Col Wolf and his heroic deeds of facing the weather head-on and punching it square in the jaw with a missile.
