Sixt’s got talent – well sort of…
Andy Miles, our Head of Central Services at Sixt UK, was celebrating his brother-in-law’s birthday this weekend, but just the weekend before he’d been rooting for him to win the opening round of “Greece has got Talent” in Athens.
Andy’s brother-in-law, Benji Adeyemo was appearing as “Miss Diamond” on the talent show “Ellada Exeis Talento” the Greek version of the hit show best known in the UK for its judges Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden. Last year the show became a hit across the world following the appearance of eventual winner Susan Boyle.
Benji hopes to emulate her in getting through next month’s semi-final and then powering into the final!
Benji was born in London and grew up in Newark, Nottinghamshire. He learned his art at the Laine Theatre Arts College in Epsom, Surrey from where he graduated to the West End where he appeared in “Saturday Night Fever”, “Fame”, “Starlight Express” and alongside Cliff Richard in “Heathcliff”.
Since 2002 he has been living and working in Greece where he has appeared on stage in “Saturday Night Fever”, “The Producers” and “Le Cage Aux Folles”. He has also made regular appearances on TV in “Ugly Maria”, “Fame Story”, “X Factor” and now as a contestant on “Greece has Got Talent”.
He has a few surprises in store for the judges and hopes to wow the audience in May when he appears in the semi-finals covering another female vocalist (but it isn’t Susan Boyle!)
