London is ‘open for business’
Boris Johnson, the mayor of London, has travelled to New York to tell American investors and tourists that the English capital is an attractive location for business and holidays.
Boris Johnson has travelled to the US to promote London as an attractive destination for both investors and tourists.
The mayor was in New York and said that the city is “open for business”, which could lead to higher demand for London car hire.
He commented: “The future for London is spectacularly bright and American investors are spoilt for choice in the range of opportunities that we are offering.”
Mr Johnson added that the 2012 Olympics will be a major attraction that will bring people into the city, not only in terms of tourism but also due to the large number of new business opportunities arising, those looking for car hire in London may be interested to hear.
Holidaymakers from the US may be pleased to hear that Helen James, communications manager at UKinbound, has suggested that foreign visitors to London are benefitting from the economic downturn due to the exchange rate.
