Christmas Pudding Race on the way in London
One of the year’s wackiest events is on the way in London, with competitors set to make their way through Covent Garden holding Christmas puddings – all in the name of charity.
If the thought of raising bundles of cash for a good cause while enjoying one of London’s stranger events sounds like your idea of fun, a trip to the capital later this year is in order.
On December 5th, the Great Christmas Pudding Race will take place in Covent Garden.
Organised on behalf of Cancer Research UK, the event is the perfect opportunity to help a good cause.
Entrants can do exactly that by donning fancy dress and making their way through an obstacle-covered course, while balancing a Christmas pudding on a tray.
Star spotters might even see the odd famous face while competing, as the likes of Jon Snow, Matthew Kelly, Bill Oddie and Timothy Spall have taken part in recent years.
Those looking for a more traditional time in the capital may want to instead use London car hire to visit the Duke of York’s Theatre, where Speaking in Tongues is running until December 12th.
