Festive football feast on the way in London
Sports fans can enjoy a festive football feast this Boxing Day thanks to a packed programme of matches featuring some of the country’s finest teams and players.
Football is a key part of the Christmas period for many people.
This year will be no exception, with mouth-watering ties taking place up and down the country on Boxing Day.
Users of London car hire could enjoy Premier League clashes between West Ham and Portsmouth or Fulham and Tottenham.
Those keen to venture farther afield could instead catch high-flying Chelsea as they face Birmingham, or moneybags Manchester City take on Stoke.
The latter will see the likes of Robinho, Carlos Tevez and Emmanuel Adebayor step out at the City of Manchester Stadium.
There’s also plenty of action outside of the top flight on Boxing Day.
Football fans could catch a battle of the game’s sleeping giants as Sheffield Wednesday face Newcastle.
Sports fans looking to enjoy a spot of tennis may want to drive to the O2 arena later this month when the ATP World Tour Finals take place.

Speaking of Nottingham Forest, I have to applaud the trial of mixing both home and away fans in the family stand during their match against Doncaster.
This was a first for British football and I hope that this spreads to other grounds across the country.

OK, so it wasn’t the most entertaining match of the season. But that’s 9 months without an away defeat now for the super Reds!
