Marbella celebrates painting and sculpture
Art fans will be able to visit a new festival later this month, to be held in Marbella, which will showcase the work of over 80 artists, including paintings, sculpture and photography.
Marbella will celebrate all things arty during a newly-launched international festival later this month.
Between Friday June 19th and Sunday June 21st, the inaugural International Art Fair will see the Spanish city display the work of over 80 artists working in the mediums of painting, sculpture and photography.
A panel of three jurors has hand-picked the participating artists after scrutinising photographs of their work.
Event organisers say: “This event is anticipated to eclipse any art event that has been held in Marbella with visitors from around Spain and Europe attending.”
Alameda Park and the Avenida del Mar will both host a variety of creations, while live music and entertainment, including mime performances, will take place as part of the programme.
For those seeking a greater insight into what inspired the works of art, their creators will be on hand to meet the public and answer questions, as well as to sell their works.
If you’re visiting Marbella for the International Art Fair, or if you’re heading out to the Costa del Sol this summer for a holiday, why not take advantage of great car hire offers from Sixt.
