The Eagles will be playing a gig at Glasgow’s Hampden Park on July 4th.

Heading to the venue on July 4th, the group is part way through a global tour including stops in Zurich, Switerzerland, Mannheim in Germany and Italy’s Milan.

Breaking into the limelight with their self-named 1972 record, they released further albums including Hotel California, Hell Freezes Over and Long Road Out of Eden.

They were recently nominated at the American Music Awards in the artist of the year, favourite band, duo or group – pop or rock music, favourite artist – adult contemporary music and favourite album of the genre.

The band comprise Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B Schmitt, who recently announced the sale of a number of signed Takamine acoustic guitars in order to raise money for Walden Woods Project.
