Ferrari’s New Car is so Hot it Needs a Recall

Ferrari engineers were sent out to investigate 5 “thermal incidents” at various locations throughout the world and following their reports there is to be a full recall of the car. Ferrari have said that the problem has been traced to a glue used in the assembly of the car’s wheel arches, which under certain circumstances can overheat leading to a potential blaze.
Under extreme conditions the heat from the adhesive can deform the protective heat shield around the engine bay, moving it closer to the exhaust system and causing a fire. To prevent this from happening in the future Ferrari are set to replace the adhesive with mechanical fasteners in all customers’ cars and any owner who has had the misfortune of watching their new Ferrari reduced to ashes will get a new replacement car.
The recall is set to leave 1,248 Ferrari owners without a car whilst they are taken to the Ferrari factory to get repaired. I’m unsure as to whether the owners will be given a replacement car but if there are any reading this blog Sixt Rent a Car do have a large fleet of cars to hire if you need one.
