Tesco fuel price cuts eases pressure on car hire users
In keeping with its motto that every little helps, Tesco has announced a cut to the cost of its petrol and diesel, which could help those with London car hire get more miles from their tank of fuel.
Tesco has become the latest supermarket to slash the cost of its fuel.
The chain has announced plans to cut the cost of unleaded petrol by two pence per litre at many of its stores across the UK, which could see users of London car hire get more miles for their money, allowing them to see more of the capital’s landmarks.
A spokesperson for the supermarket said: “Every single Tesco petrol station will see a drop of at least one pence a litre on both unleaded and diesel.”
They added that promotions giving customers money off at the pumps when they buy products in store are also available, saying that this combined with its loyalty card means that it is “confident that Tesco offers the cheapest fuel in the UK”.
This move comes shortly after ASDA announced a price cut of two pence per litre on its fuel and Morrisons temporarily suspended adding a two pence tax rise to its petrol and diesel.
