Signing their initial fleet agreement, Sixt and Renault
(AbdulBaki Trading Company) introduced for the first time in the history of the Syrian
automotive industry the concept of “buy-back” which is common practice in the main
automotive industries in Europe.

The fleet agreement between Sixt and Renault comes as part of their launch of the
brand new intermediate sedan, the Renault Fluence 2010, to the Syrian market.

attractively priced. Now, as we provide Sixt with vehicles through buy-back agreements

As per fleet agreement Sixt has purchased a fleet of Renault’s brand new Fluence 2010
while Renault agrees to “buy-back” the vehicles after 2 years of usage in the car rental
industry. The vehicles are then refurbished by Renault and sold to the general public at
specially reduced prices.

Mr. Talal Al-Rifai, General Manager of Sixt Syria affirmed: “Sixt introduced the 24 month
life span for car rental vehicles to Syria last year and today it enjoys another leading role
in the industry by using buy-back agreements for the first time through starting the cooperation
with Renault. Our customers will always enjoy the quality of new cars and a
fleet which is refreshed automatically. If it’s Sixt, it’s new.”

Receiving the first set of cars from Renault yesterday was Mr. Michael Krikken,
International Franchise Manager for Sixt MENA alongside Mr. Talal AbdulBaki, vice
president of AbdulBaki trading with the senior management of Sixt and Renault in Syria.
“We are very optimistic about the future of Sixt in Syria as the car rental market is
evolving and growth is eminent.

The “buy-back” fleet agreement and strong co-operation
of Sixt and Renault in Syria offers a new dimension to the automotive industry. With
vehicles such as the Renault Fluence we will be able to offer good cars at even better
prices.”
