Sixt wins Silver IPA Effectiveness Award 🏆
On the 2nd November 2016, Sixt was delighted to receive yet another achievement for our Drive Smug campaign; the IPA Effectiveness award which rewards campaigns that demonstrate a great payback on marketing investment. A huge marketing feat, the IPA Effectiveness award is recognised by agencies and clients as Adland’s most rigorous award scheme.
Drive Smug, the marketing campaign for Sixt in the UK was first launched with Advertising Powerhouse Grey London in June 2015, when we took over Canary Wharf with unmissable billboards and sassy headlines. The takeover then continued to a full front-page spread of the London Evening Standard and has dominated our online and social media presence ever since. The slogan “Drive Smug” refers to that feeling of one-upsmanship you get after renting a luxury car for an economy price which perfectly sums up our brand message in the UK and worldwide. Since launching our campaign with Ad agency Grey London, we won a prestigious Effie Award in May that seeks out some of the best global marketing campaigns. Now, we are overjoyed to see our campaign has earned yet another award; the Silver IPA Effectiveness Award.
IPA Effectiveness Awards were won by the UK’s finest agencies and in-house marketing teams, including the likes of Volvo, John Lewis, Volkswagen and many more. Here at Sixt we are ecstatic to be granted such a prestigious award and to be grouped with some of the best in the industry.
