London set for spectacular firework display

People looking to mark Bonfire Night in style will want to book London car hire and head into the capital next weekend.

On November 7th, Alexandra Park will host one of the most spectacular firework displays for miles around.

Not only will visitors be able to marvel at the beautifully lit-sky during the show, they will also be entertained by musical guests and performers.

Families can enjoy entry to the show with a fantastic view from the terrace for £5 for adults and £3 for children, or a group ticket can be bought for £12.

Those looking to get some early festive cheer could instead drive to Olympia, where the Spirit of Christmas Fair is taking place between November 4th and 8th.

There, visitors will find all manner of Christmas gifts on offer, giving them the chance to pick up a few early presents.

Rugby Club to host ‘virtual bonfire’

Anyone who’s heading out tonight to celebrate Guy Fawkes night stood in front of a warm bonfire should spare a thought for those at Ilfracombe Rugby Club’s bonfire and firework display.

Organisers of the event were put off by the ‘mountain’ of paper work that needed to be completed to burn a real bonfire, and have instead opted to hold a virtual bonfire on a giant television screen.

The local council in North Devon insisted that the event would need to have five qualified fire marshals and metal barricades to keep onlookers at a safe distance.

However the event won’t be a completely televised affair, sparklers will be available and a £2,500 real firework display is set to take place.
