Travel Chaos Looms as Second London Underground Strike Begins

Once again commuters heading into the centre of London today face severe travel disruption as workers on the London Underground start another 24-hour strike. Members of the TSSA and the RMT unions walked out last night at 18:30 in protest over plans to cut 800 jobs from ticket offices.

Tube Strike Contingency Plans Announced

Following the breakdown of talks between Transport for London (TfL), the Rail, Maritime and Transport Union (RMT) and Transport Salaried Staffs Association (TSSA) yesterday contingency plans have been unveiled to help thousands of commuters get around London.

Tube Service Set to be Hit by Strikes

Following a dispute over pay and conditions for maintenance workers on London’s Underground network, the RMT union and it’s members have taken the decision to stage walk out protests on 23 June and 14 July. The strike is set to have “severe consequences” throughout the Tube network.
