An expert has claimed passengers should be a given a 24-hour window to correct any information on airline tickets in case they make a mistake while booking, it may interest those set for flights from Heathrow to learn.

Rochelle Turner, from Which? Holiday, commented that there should be measures in place to safeguard customers should they make an error, those looking for flights from Heathrow or Stansted Airport may be interested to hear.

She said that her group has come into contact with numerous people who have unwittingly made errors while booking trips.

Ms Turner stated that people are faced with issues such as failing to write down their full name, with an example of someone called Katherine being unable to board a flight because she has referred to herself as Kate given by the source.

She added: “If they did have a simple 24-hour cancellation period, that would be a really good way of getting around some of those issues.”

The Air Transport Users Council recently claimed that it has received complaints from passengers, which may include those on flights from London Heathrow, who made a mistake when booking a ticket.
