There will be increased demand for travel to London next year.

This comment has been made by Christophe Peymirat, UK vice-president and managing director for Egencia, who said that business people will flock to the world’s main economic hubs in 2010, which could drive up demand for London car hire.

He said that cities like London, Paris, Berlin and Frankfurt will be popular with business travellers next year.

Mr Peymirat added that in the recession firms have saved money by booking their travel in advance.

He explained: “The main achievement was working on the advance booking of airline tickets for example, which is an important measure to reduce your spend when looking at your travel policy.”

According to Egencia, the average ticket price and average daily room rate in Europe’s top business cities is set to increase slowly in 2010.

The travel management company said that these cities are now showing sign of positive growth.
