holland culture amsterdam Holland boasts outstanding cultural offeringsHolidaymakers picking up car hire in Amsterdam will find themselves in one of the friendliest and culturally-rich cities in the world, it has been claimed.

Just recently, research carried out by OnePoll.com found Holland to be perceived as the most-friendly tourist destination in the whole of Europe, with the country scoring almost twice as many votes as second-placed Greece.

And, according to experts, such a view is entirely justified, with Britons made to feel welcome both by the warm Dutch people and the fact that they can easily communicated with the locals.

A spokesperson for Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions, added: “Other than the friendly people, Holland is well-known for many things -its classic attractions such as windmills, tulips and cheese but moreover for its outstanding cultural offerings.”

For example, all of Holland’s top ten museums, including those in Amsterdam, Utrecht and the Hague, are showcasing new exhibitions in 2009 and 2010, she explained.
