winter breaks toulouse La Tania has big English communityA travel expert has claimed that La Tania is a popular destination for Brits looking for a ski break, noting cheap accommodation as one reason for this.

Britons remain the primary tourism market for La Tania, according to an expert.

Arnaud Favet, charge de promotion for Office de Tourisme de La Tania, said that this French resort is home to many people from the UK, which could mean there will be high demand for car hire in this part of France.

He commented: “We have a big English community here with English tourists coming in every year. That’s our first market. Some English locals have been here ten years now and they have pubs, chalets and businesses there.”

Mr Favet also said that the inexpensive nature of the resort attracts holidays.

He explained that accommodation is around 20 to 30 per cent cheaper in La Tania than destinations such as Meribel and Courchevel.

Last week, Chantal Pitin, head of leisure traffic development at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, said that the Pyrenees is a popular destination for winter sports holidays.
