Sixt and Design Hotels introduce “Roadtrips”

For many people when visiting a country tour guides can only get you so far, but a new service being provided by Design Hotels and Sixt will give customers a local perspective when visiting by providing them with custom designed tours already uploaded onto their in car satellite navigation. Working in partnership with Design Hotels and BMW’s ConnectedDrive service, Sixt will be providing hire cars with pre-programmed roadtrips for visitors to one of 11 hotels in Germany and Austria.
Each of the hotels have their own bespoke roadtrip, taking you off the beaten track to tour the local areas. Starting from the hotel, the day long tours feature highlights of cuisine, design and culture, presenting a diverse mix of hidden sights, unparalleled landscapes and delicious local specialities.
BMW’s ConnectedDrive system provides numerous integrated services into their in-car satellite navigation, from custom routes to specific online services including Google Local Search. To read more about this service you can go to the BMW ConnectedDrive page here.
