londonsunset UK holidays better than a few years ago The holiday experience in the UK has improved over recent years, an expert has claimed.

Frances Tuke, spokeswoman for ABTA – The Travel Association, said that there are numerous reasons why 2009 has been the year of the ’staycation’, users of London car hire may be interested to hear.

She said that the economic downturn is one cause of the trend, however, she added that the opening of new hotels have also contributed to this.

Ms Tuke stated: “You are likely to get a better experience in the UK than you were a few years ago.”

She went on to say that the UK has a “lot to offer”, which could mean that tourists may experience high levels of demand for car hire in London while on a getaway in the capital.

According to research recently released by Visa Europe, 34 per cent of respondents prefer to take several short trips each year rather than one long two-week holiday.
